Spirit is my dissertation research project for my Masters degree. I explored whether anthropomorphism could have a positive impact on environmental campaigns, through the design of my own anti deforestation campaign. The project focusses on ancient woodlands which are highly at risk, specifically the Outwoods in Charnwood. I designed an interactive AR trail, which would lead the user through the woods, introducing them to various characters who tell them about the legends and folklore of forests, as well as how in danger they are of disappearing forever. The user is then offered the opportunity to sign a petition or donate to restoration funds.
